Rent Only Contract
**Please note that this contract portal is set up for beginner rentals and the books included in the accessory selection is book 1. If you are starting a new rental and need book 2 or book 3, deselect book 1 and create a separate order for your book.**
Standard String Rentals
- Violin & Viola - $20.00 for the first two months (one payment). Continued rental $20.00 per month.
- Cello - $40 for the first two months (one payment). Continued rental $30.00 per month.
- Bass - $78 for the first two months (one payment). Continued rental $55 per month.
A Rent Only contract is intended for the month-to-month rental of fractional-size string instruments. The renter is not acquiring ownership of this or any other instrument directly by means of this rental contract.
With string instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass), a student starts at less than a full-size instrument depending on the student's size, say, a 1/4-size violin. They'll grow out of the instruments at almost the same rate they grow out of clothes. When they're ready to move to a 1/2 size, just come on in or call Ellman's, and we'll exchange the instrument at no additional cost for the appropriately-sized one, and the contract continues as is.
The IRP fee and monthly rental payments (less the maintenance and office charge) accrue as a credit which can be applied toward the purchase of a full size instrument of the same type should the customer choose to purchase one from Ellman's.
